Say what you want question me for why the fuck I'd be watching it in the first place. Anyways I tried to get to sleep but, I couldn't plus it's been awhile since I did an entry so I though why not? I was going to do my next blog entry on superficial popstars but I thought I'd vent on this for a bit. On a side note - I think I just had the greatest heart attack ever from reading a comment on a poem on my mibba. Literally having an anxiety attack now. Thank you JD thank you. You always like to have that affect on me don't you? Anyways let's talk Kim Kardashian.

Kim Kardashian - honestly I have mixed feelings about her. What I can say I like about her is I do admire her style and a bit of her personality she does seem like an okay person from the outside. I can't say much I don't know her I only know as much as the tv allows me to see and I rather not be a full blown hater. Kim Kardashian's few achievements are something I think she should be quiet proud of herself for. She is succeeding in her business career with her boutique. If few people know she is also the founder of the site Shoedazzle.com I highly recommend this site to all that are skeptical of it. They have great deals and very stylish shoes to suit your tastes. Yes I'm all about the alternative but, I'm not gonna lie I do think some styles are cute even if there 'mainstream-ish' hey it's fashion what girl doesn't love her some shoes?

Although there are few things I do admire Kim K for there some things that I think are just ridiculous. Why does everyone know the Kardashian's all of sudden? Well if your smart enough to remember the whole OJ Simpson case thing then you might have a clue. Really though the only reason the Kardashian's got thrown into the spotlight was because Kim Kardashian starred in a porno with R&B artist Ray J. (Some may know him from a reality show he also did.) So really Kim Kardashian is only famous for being famous just like the one and only dumbest blonde ever known to the media - Paris Hilton. Celebrities being celebrites for the sake of being famous these days is quite popular and very disgusting. I guess no one has sheer talent anymore and they suck d*** and f*** on screen so they get a shred of stardom in. It's pretty damn obvious as well that Kim K is just a sex symbol to the media as well. A big ol' duh there. Keeping Up With The Kardashian's wouldn't even exist without that little "mistake" of Kim's. Thanks Kim for throwing another dramatized reality show at our faces. America's got nothing better to do than sit back and watch a bunch of rich whores spend money, party, and make screw ups like normal people. You know what they say though it's always more entertaining when rich people do it because they get bailed out of jail in just a snap. Come back and let's watch them do it all over again but, with different outfits.

Let's Kim K's Fairy Tale Wedding. Honestly I think the whole thing was just outrageous, they should have just thrown that shit on Bridezillas. I watched it because I am that 45% of America that has nothing better to do then watch a rich spoil girl get the most expensive wedding for herself and ignore her future husband. I watched the whole thing both Part I & II and all I could think was how selfish she was being. Not even involving Kris in the wedding planning. I myself would never even want a big wedding to begin with. Plus if she really loved him she would take his last name but, hey it's all about they money right? She won't sell no perfume with no Humphries. The only real reason I watched this was because I am a Christina Aguilera fan. Being the shallow bitch that I am I wanted to see her at the wedding and see how much more weight she has gained now. Originally Kim wanted Chirstina singing at her wedding but Christina wouldn't sing because the Kardashian's couldn't 'afford' her. After Christina's recent album flop with Bionic and before her divorce was legalized she was charging people $1Million to sing at events. (Apparently she lowered the price because her husband persuaded her on it so she would get more gigs.) Now that's one hell of a diva! It's also been said she is blaming her recent album flop on Gaga. Not sure if that's true or not might just be rumors.

What more to say about the wedding? Well it's a load of bullshit. A wedding for the rich so girl's just sit back watch with a glass of sherry and be jealous. "Kim's Fairy Tale Wedding" indeed it's all made up. How many American's you think can actually BUY a wedding like that. Not many I'm guessing 5% The whole point of this wedding to show off and get some nice tv ratings in so they can cash in for a trip to Hawaii and some more $5K purses. This wedding was supposed to be a "private event and sentimental" event that half of America gets to watch. Wow really holding up the wedding values huh Kardashians? I'm not sure what more to say about this. It was all about the money really and showing the world, "HEY LOOK I'M NOT A WHORE ANYMORE! SEE! I'M MARRIED!!!" Here's my foreshadowing - He'll leave because he can't handle all the constant eye of the camera or ... well I'm betting all I got on he'll leave. Although I would hope she would be a cheater. Make a nice season and give me something to occupy my eye and mind with instead of thinking of ... Well all I ever think about is depressing shit so yeah.

Hannah Fury Is Dark Elegance

The other day I was is in an antique shop that had so many wondrous things. Tea sets, carved chest sets, old jewelry pieces, fur coats and many other things. One thing in particular that caught my eye was a glass cameo. It was on a silver chain, a beautiful piece of clear glass with a cameo in the middle. I saw this necklace a few weeks before but I didn't have the money at the time to buy it. I came back to get it and held it in my hand. To me it is one of the most beautiful and unique pieces of jewelry I have ever owned. I wore it all day flaunting it off in public but, when I came home I held it my hand and just looked at it for a bit. Then a thought just came to my head- HANNAH FURY! A 'Gothy' artist I suppose but, I wanted to do a entry about her to give her the credit she deserves. I think she is a very looked over artist and deserves a little more eye for her talent.

The reason Hannah Fury came to my head was she is very Victorian-esque with the whole Marie Antoinette thing. She is quite lovely indeed, just like my cameo. I discovered Hannah Fury a few years back when my musical appetite started increasing. From Kerli - Emilie Autumn - Hannah Fury. Glimpsing at the artwork of her albums I didn't think much of her at first, 'Just another goth music artist.' Happy to say I was very wrong. I first listened to Carnival Justice (The Gloves Are Off) Part II . At that time in my life it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. It was dark, mysterious, seductive- sweet but very twisted. Soft to the ear and you just can't help but listen to the whole song to hear where Hannah's going to take you next. Hannah Fury has 6 cds, four EPs and two full albums. Although I consider her first EP, Soul Poison, as a full album since it's different from her other cds. It doesn't branch off into more EPs going into the same story over and over again.

Describing Hannah's music is like telling a person about a movie. First this happened and then this happened then OH MY GOD THIS HAPPENED! And then it all came together in the end with this. Her music is like a classy horror film or a film that's classy but risque with a very obscure topic. Like Lolita (1997 film) or a horror movie with Angelina Jolie and not a shit piece one with porn star teenagers getting butchered. Dark Cabaret perhaps? Perhaps. It all depends on the album.

Soul Poison was Hannah Fury's first album, the first song off the album is called "The Necklace Of Marie Antoinette." The sweetest cup of revenge you'll ever taste! Hannah Fury is rather knowledgeable when it comes to some things such as Marie Antoinette. She uses her knowledge to her advantage creating lyrics with substance not just mindless shit or never ending rants of angst. Each one has a twist and vibe that sets off the song that fits with the melody. The sound of the whole thing is haunting and very anticipating. It's the suspense you get with a horror film when the victim is unknowingly walking to her death. Scars and Idaho are haunting songs that have traces of melancholy. This is a music artist that I think is rather hard to put into a genre. Most all her songs are ballads but each having it's own subject and twist. There is always a story behind the lyrics leaving you with a question.

I have mentioned that Hannah Fury is quite knowledge with certain things. In her first full length album The Thing That Feels the piano is heard throughout most of the songs and most of the songs are ballads. The difference between The Thing That Feels and Through The Gash is The Thing That Feels are songs that should be musical numbers or high class piano recital. While Through The Gash is very goth intriguing dark and edging on towards disturbing. A few of the songs on this album she takes from her knowledge and intrigue of the book "Wicked" most people who know it by now as the play. If you don't know what Wicked is, it is a book that tells of the events of The Land Of Oz which occurred before Dorthy barged in with her house and killed an innocent person. Yes, for people who are familiar with the film "The Wizard Of Oz" it's somewhere down that alley. Some songs in fact mention the characters themselves. Others hint towards events and such. Dorthy going down the yellow brick road, Glinda handing off the ruby slippers and Elphaba being is quite key in most of the songs. Hannah took quite the liking to Elphaba's character. One song that was even made into an EP was called "It Was Her House That Killed Nessarose" a personal favorite of mine. I'm not quite sure on the lyrics but I think Hannah is talking about from the point of view of Elpaba watching Glinda give Dorthy the ruby slippers. She is saying how it is unfair that this girl who just killed her dear sister is given her sister's shoes. This is one of the many reasons I love Hannah Fury's music. Her music is beautiful and different and at the same time it teaches you something interesting about history or peaks your interest in something to go learn about it.

Hannah's most current album is Through The Gash. I personally LOVE this album! It is like dark morbid fairy tales for the soul. It takes my imagination to all the places that make me giggle from all the morbidness. Now it's not like a gorey heavy metal album, its dark cabaret with subsistence lyrics. Realistic music that holds nothing back but giving off a beautiful sound that swoons the ears. Two of my personal favorites off the album are "No Man Alive" and "Never Look Back". No Man Alive, to me, is quite the hyperbole. The lyrics themselves are pretty straightforward - "There is no man alive that has what I need so, give me a man that I can breathe, There is no man alive that has what I want so, give me a man that I can haunt." There is basically no good man to love but you can settle with a man that you can toy with and kill. Love that. A song that I would recommend to people just discovering her is "Girls That Glitter Love The Dark." This song also appeared first on her cd Subterfuge. I know many people and friends who adore this song. The sound and lyrics are so compatible. To me, the message I find in the song is girls who are alienated by the mainstream of society who find a way to shine with their individualism. Alternative, goth, emo, punk whatever you wanna label these people. Most people avoid others who look or come off as "different" because most are afraid of what they don't know of. Although every single person is beautiful in their own way. Which is why people should celebrate the good in each other instead of picking apart the bad.

Overall Hannah Fury's music is something straight from your jewelry box. Open up the precious thing and out pops a twirling ballerina with the prettiest little melody you ever heard. The dark themes of her music add to the image that ties everything together. Everything is not what it appears to be; the Victorian era, Rocco Splendor, high tea, pink roses wrapped in poison, ripped lace, and an unstitched ball gown. It's all Hannah Fury.

Alternative Music Meets Alternative Fashion

Lately have been indulging in following (& saving money for) a new alternative clothing line I found called Sugarfix. First of all some people may not think this clothing line is particularly 'alternative' but, I find it to be. To me it's one of those clothing lines like Lip Service, Dead Cultoure, Tripp NYC, that you don't normally see prowling around the streets. I can puke from the number of Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, and American Eagle Clothes I see on a daily basis. Sugarfix reminds me not precisely of a goth style but it's different. It's edgy and unique - sweet but with a sick twist. They have some simple and complex styles to them along with some designs that give off a nice cyanide kiss to them. I actually came across this site by accident the founder of the site, Vanessa James, is dating a member of the band Hollywood Undead (A band I follow with great passion) Jorel Decker. Jorel is also a co-founder of the Dead Cultoure Clothing line.

A Sugarfix top ^

Dead Cultoure Clothing, founded by Jorel Decker and George Ragen, is a nice twist for hoodies, tank tops, and t-shirts. Not the most advanced styles but, hey, when you got the words DEAD CULTOURE right in front of your face I think it says enough to the bitchy blonde wearing her plain old Hollister t-shirt. Dead Cultoure, having just released a few new styles to their line are a very nice twist indeed. Blood splattered words and gothic lettering it's simply twisted. Simple yet edgy I find it to be something that can suit anyone's tastes and is a nice change from the norm.

Now where does the music come in? Jorel Decker and George Ragen are both members of the band Hollywood Undead. Jorel's stage name being JDog and George's Johnny 3 Tears. The band already has a nice visual aspect to their appearance. Each band member wears a custom mask they have each designed to show their personality. They are always repping their clothes on stage it adds to the look of the band. If you are not familiar with the band they are a rap-rock, alternative band. The band has been giving many labels with genres, if you're new to them I'd label them as alternative rock. The look of their clothes adds to their music and the image they are selling - A nice getaway from reality and all the normies walking the streets 24/7. Dark, edgy, but very comfortable. Summing it all up in one word - DIFFERENT and aren't we all just a bit different? ;)

Another musician hitting the scene is Kerli.

Kerli is another alternative musician, I myself admire her. Her music has some alternative rock that goes into a goth pop thing. Sugar and spice and everything nice along with some black lace and spiders. It's pop music with a core message laced in gothic themes. She has her own unique style she is calling Bubblegoth. Imagine a gothic spice girl if you will. I've seen her many times wearing Lip Service. A brand that has been around for quite some years, a couple decades to say the least. Very alternative, it's brand that offers a variety of sub-genres to alternative fashion. Steampunk, classic rock 'n' roll, Lolita (A Victorian-esque themed style that originated in Japan) PVC, cyber/rave, and many others. I personally think this brand is rocking the PVC! I really like Lippy as well, I have my own collection of clothes from them. This brand is big in the alternative scene and there is a reason for it, their clothes go with their imagination. There is something for everybody, people who wanna make statements, people who enjoy geisha styles and the Lolita fashion, people with fetishes, there is always some sort of theme with their clothes. No matter what you buy there is always some kind of twist something off, something different, something that makes people turn their heads and say 'Look at that!'

Another musician I thought I'd mention is Emilie Autumn, she is rather famous in the goth subculture. Unfortunately there is no site or place you can go to if you like Emilie's clothes. She makes all her own things and in my opinion are very beautiful clothes. From corsets to bustles to bloomers and stockings all Emilie's clothes are Victorian themed and handmade. She is usually always seen wearing the Demonia shoe brand. A very popular shoe brand in the alternative fashion scene. Combat boots, platform stilettos, platform boots, Victorian style boots and many other interesting styles. I HIGHLY recommend this brand! Not only is it a great alternative look and twist on the norm, they have shoes for every occasion you can think of as they branch off into their own sub-style brands.

Back to Emilie Autumn! Emilie Autumn's music is your typical goth but not heavy metal or pop or even rock. Rather her own genre which she calls Victoriandustrial also known for her electric violin which can be heard through most of her songs. Emilie autumn is like the prettiest and most delicious cupcake laced with cyanide. Dark and edging towards rather disturbing subjects such as rape, murder, and suicide. One of her songs off the album Opheliac is called The Art Of Suicide, it is possibly the prettiest and melodic song you can hear with a harpsichord and a classical violin. Beautiful but don't forget it is a suicide song! Start singing that at school during chorus I'm sure your teacher will give the 'WTF' look. Everything you see or hear from Emilie Autumn is Victorian themed mixed with pop and industrial. From her music to her clothes, it's different, it's alternative, and it fucking rocks!
